Job Title: SAN Engineer Location: Remote Duration: 6+ Months contract (Possibilities of extension) Note: No C2C or Third Party Vendor Required Skills: VMAX / Power Max storage, Vplex, Dell, EMC, SRDF, EMC VMAX (Preferably VMAX3 and Power Max), EMC Unity, devices, SRDF/A, SRDF/S, SRDF/Metro, and Snap VX with Secure Snaps. Job description: EMC resource with higher level skills and experience equipped to perform the administration work of supporting and maintaining an EMC Infrastructure. Has experience in enterprise systems like VMAX / Power Max storage administration and uses programming and scripting when required for automation. Activities may encompass storage provisioning via CLI, meta creation, switch configurations, zoning (as required), replication implementations using SRDF/ SRDF metro/ Smart DR replication, activating sessions, personality swaps of replication devices and any other required changes related to the migration. Key Responsibilities: • Knowledge and practical experience of DELL and EMC Storage technologies and Storage domain. • Have a practical working knowledge EMC VMAX and EMC Power max, EMC Extreme IO and Vplex Storage Boxes with replication technologies such as Time finder Operations SRDF SYNC IQ. • Strong expertise in building, administering, managing EMC products such as EMC VMAX (Preferably VMAX3 and Power Max), EMC Unity devices and Data domain. • Strong Expertise in managing Cisco SAN switches. • Strong Expertise in SRDF configuration and troubleshooting. • Good knowledge in troubleshooting complex performance issues related to the above products • Technical Expertise NAS & SAN Storage technologies from NetApp, Client, Client & EMC Storages Power Max 8k and 2k and Cisco SAN Switches. • Provide performance tuning and troubleshooting of all DELL storage technologies • Performance analysis of the environment is mandatory requirement • Storage System administration functionality and exploitation Assessments and Health Checks installation cabling troubleshooting • Exposure to replication technologies and Data Protection techniques Snapshots Clone etc • Good working knowledge Cisco Fabric Switches • Design, implement, and manage storage solutions using Dell EMC Power Max systems. • Configure and manage SRDF/A, SRDF/S, and SRDF/Metro for high availability and disaster recovery. • Implement and manage Snap VX and Secure Snaps for efficient data protection and replication. • Collaborate with VMware administrators to integrate storage solutions seamlessly within the VMware. • Monitor storage performance and provide tuning and optimization recommendations. • Troubleshoot and resolve complex storage-related issues. • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for storage configurations, procedures, and best • Provide training and knowledge transfer to internal teams and client staff as needed. • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend and implement innovative storage solutions. Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, or a related field; or equivalent work experience. • Experience in storage engineering, with a focus on Dell EMC Power Max systems. • In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with SRDF/A, SRDF/S, SRDF/Metro, and Snap VX with Secure Snaps. • Strong understanding of VMware environments and integration with enterprise storage solutions. • Proven experience in designing and implementing high-availability and disaster recovery solutions. • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. • Relevant certifications (e.g., Dell EMC Proven Professional, VMware VCP) are a plus.
