Role description
Team & Project Overview:
Our client's specialized Data & Analytics team, embedded within the Finance department of a leading healthcare organization, is seeking a skilled SQL Developer. The team is the central point for all financial data, reporting, and application support, serving the Finance department's specific needs.
This role is critical due to a recent acquisition, creating an urgent need for developing new financial reports and integrating data from legacy EMR and Revenue Cycle systems.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop, validate, and maintain SQL scripts and stored procedures for healthcare financial data analysis.
• Build and deliver accurate reports for hospital finance, including physician productivity, labor analytics, and other key financial metrics.
• Support the transition from legacy systems to a new EMR by reconciling and reporting on data from both environments.
• Create and maintain thorough technical documentation in a SharePoint environment.
• Assist with administering user security privileges for financial systems.
Required Qualifications:
• Proven experience as a SQL Developer with a deep understanding of hospital finance data (e.g., general ledger, labor/productivity, patient revenue).
• Strong proficiency in writing complex queries, stored procedures, and working within SQL Server.
• Experience with financial reporting, data validation, and reconciliation in a fast-paced healthcare setting.
• Excellent documentation skills and familiarity with SharePoint.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with Epic EHR data structures, particularly through Epic Bridges.
• Familiarity with BI and reporting tools like Tableau.
• Experience with Data Strata or Laborlytics applications is a strong plus.
