Role description
Team & Project Overview: Our client's specialized Data & Analytics team, embedded within the Finance department of a leading healthcare organization, is seeking a skilled SQL Developer. The team is the central point for all financial data, reporting, and application support, serving the Finance department's specific needs. This role is critical due to a recent acquisition, creating an urgent need for developing new financial reports and integrating data from legacy EMR and Revenue Cycle systems. Key Responsibilities: • Develop, validate, and maintain SQL scripts and stored procedures for healthcare financial data analysis. • Build and deliver accurate reports for hospital finance, including physician productivity, labor analytics, and other key financial metrics. • Support the transition from legacy systems to a new EMR by reconciling and reporting on data from both environments. • Create and maintain thorough technical documentation in a SharePoint environment. • Assist with administering user security privileges for financial systems. Required Qualifications: • Proven experience as a SQL Developer with a deep understanding of hospital finance data (e.g., general ledger, labor/productivity, patient revenue). • Strong proficiency in writing complex queries, stored procedures, and working within SQL Server. • Experience with financial reporting, data validation, and reconciliation in a fast-paced healthcare setting. • Excellent documentation skills and familiarity with SharePoint. Preferred Qualifications: • Experience with Epic EHR data structures, particularly through Epic Bridges. • Familiarity with BI and reporting tools like Tableau. • Experience with Data Strata or Laborlytics applications is a strong plus.
