Role description
HRIS Analyst: 6-12 month contract Chicago, IL – 2 days onsite in the loop, 3 days work from home (WFH) Summary We’re looking for an HRIS Analyst, to join us on a 6-12 month contract, that could get extended – to focus on PeopleSoft Time & Absence module (PeopleSoft experience not required), and focus on driving configurations + testing in a PeopleSoft environment + significant work with Excel (strong Excel experience is required). Skills we’re seeking • 2+ years of experience as an HRIS Analyst • Must have experience with HRIS configurations • Must have experience with testing HRIS configurations as well • Must have strong Excel experience Nice to haves • PeopleSoft experience (not a requirement) • SQL experience • Reporting experience • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in an IT or HR related field What you’ll be doing HRIS (PeopleSoft) Time and Absence Administration: Configurations & Testing focus: • Serve as a primarypoint of expertisefor complex timecard, overtime, scheduling, and absence related inquiries from employees, managers, Payroll, and HR partners. • Independently troubleshoot, research, and resolveadvanced PeopleSoft Time and Absence issues, including system errors, configuration discrepancies, entitlement miscalculations, and integration issues, escalating issues to the team’s Analyst for further review. • Conduct proactive and recurring auditsof employee setup,schedules, time reportingcodes, overtime eligibility, and absence plans to ensure alignment with Firm policies and payroll requirements. • Review, adjust,and reconcile employeetimesheets and absencebalances, including retroactive corrections and multi period adjustments. • Lead and execute vacation payout calculations and other complex absence reconciliations. • Oversee and ensure completion of timecard balancingprior to payrollprocessing deadlines, including direct outreach to employees and managers regarding unresolved discrepancies. • Run absencecalculation processes, batch absence entries,and entitlement updates,and review and resolve processing or data load errors. • Manage annualabsence entitlement, carryover, and year end processes, includingvalidation and post processing audits. • Lead troubleshooting efforts for systemic Time and Absence issues, partnering with the team’s Analyst and HRIS and technical teamsto log, track,and resolve defectsor enhancement requests through to completion. • Participate activelyin system upgrades, implementations, and enhancement projects, including requirements gathering, testing, validation, and post implementation support. • Contribute to the design,documentation, and maintenance of firmwide Time and Absence processes, controls, and training materials. • Ensure appropriate documentation, record retention, and audit supportrelated to time and absence transactions. • Generate, review,and interpret firmwideTime and Absencereports and queriesto validate payroll readiness, approvals, and compliance with policy requirements. • Analyze reportdata to identifytrends, recurring errors,control gaps, or training needs, and communicate findings and recommendations to appropriate stakeholders. • Use query and reportingresults to independently correct data issuesand support continuous process improvement initiatives.
