About the Role
Our local People & Culture (P&C) team is seeking a dynamic and analytical Human Resource Contractor to support both operational and strategic HR initiatives. This role is ideal for a recent graduate with a strong HR foundation and a passion for data-driven decision-making. The selected candidate will play a critical role in supporting our frontline workforce and internal partners, with potential to transition into a full-time HR Analyst role as the Huntsville Plant continues to grow.
Key Responsibilities
1. HR Engagement & Communication
β’ Serve as a frontline HR representative, supporting employee experience and engagement.
β’ Lead New Hire Orientation and participate in employee committees and plant events.
β’ Manage internal communications, including newsletters, campaign materials, and executive decks.
β’ Design infographics and one-pagers for HR initiatives and communication boards.
β’ Act as a liaison between HR and frontline employees, ensuring clear and professional communication.
1. Data Analysis & Reporting (Primary Focus)
β’ Collect, clean, and maintain HR datasets (e.g., employee records, engagement surveys, headcount, turnover, performance).
β’ Build and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI.
β’ Analyze workforce data to identify trends in hiring, attrition, DEI, and employee experience.
β’ Collaborate with P&C stakeholders to deliver actionable insights.
β’ Ensure data accuracy through validation and quality control.
β’ Support reporting for Time & Attendance, vacation tracking, and scheduling.
Ideal Candidate Profile
β’ Bachelorβs or Masterβs degree (completed or in progress) in Human Resources, Business, Communications, Data Analytics, or related field.
β’ Strong communicator with the ability to engage diverse audiences and handle sensitive HR matters professionally.
β’ Proficiency in Power BI (preferred) or other data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker).
β’ Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills; familiarity with SQL, Python, or R is a plus.
β’ Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities independently.
β’ Passionate about employee experience and continuous improvement through data.
β’ Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Minimum Requirements
β’ Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Bachelorβs or Masterβs program.
β’ Completion of junior year or higher.
