Role description
Location: Milwaukee, WI (Hybrid – 4–5 days onsite to start, then 2–3 days) Duration: 6 months (through May 2026) About the Project Data Analyst (HR/Finance focus) to support a high-priority initiative aimed at standardizing and operationalizing headcount reporting across the enterprise. This role is central to enabling HR to take full ownership of headcount reporting and workforce analytics by April 1, 2026. What You’ll Do πŸ”Ή Discovery & Assessment β€’ Inventory all existing HR and Finance headcount reports. β€’ Document formats, frequency, data sources, and recipients. β€’ Identify overlaps, gaps, and inefficiencies. πŸ”Ή Standardization & Framework Design β€’ Develop a unified, scalable headcount reporting model. β€’ Collaborate with HRIS and IT teams. β€’ Define RACI, timelines, and data ownership structure. πŸ”Ή Template Creation β€’ Build and document reporting templates (monthly, quarterly, annual). β€’ Prepare documentation for knowledge transfer to Komatsu teams. πŸ”Ή Reporting & Change Management Support β€’ Support delivery of the KLTD Annual CC Personnel Expense Reports. β€’ Create repeatable, documented processes to reduce manual effort. β€’ Partner with HR and Finance to ensure adoption and sustainability. Key Deliverables β€’ Comprehensive Report Inventory of all active reports and sources. β€’ Centralized Reporting Framework with RACI, timelines, and governance guide. β€’ Finalized Templates for ongoing use. β€’ KLTD FY26 Prep – fully documented annual reporting process. β€’ Knowledge Transfer Documentation for internal team ownership. What We’re Looking For β€’ Proven experience in HR or Finance data reporting within a complex organization. β€’ Ability to transform raw data into clear templates and reports. β€’ Expertise in Excel and Power BI (SuccessFactors or Palantir a plus). β€’ Experience creating documentation and scalable reporting processes. β€’ Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. β€’ Comfortable with ambiguity and cross-functional collaboration. Additional Information β€’ Reports to: Kristy Kintop, Director of Human Resources β€’ Must be able to work onsite at Komatsu’s South Harbor (Milwaukee) office at least 2 days per week. β€’ Contractor paid hourly for time worked. β€’ Immediate start available.
