Role description
We are looking for a Data Engineer to join our client's HR Data Analytics team and contribute to their success by building data pipelines and tools to produce actionable data-driven insights within our business. In this role, you will develop pipelines to generate useful analytics data sets from multiple complex sources including SAP SuccessFactors, PeopleSoft, UKG and other platforms; model data sets using deep domain knowledge and methodological expertise; act as core project team members for analytics and data projects; and provide production support and continuous improvement to our analytics capabilities. Responsibilities: Support our ongoing implementation of SAP SuccessFactors and stand-up new data reporting and analytics ecosystem by: Migrate or rebuild existing data pipelines and reporting data sets from legacy HRIS to new architecture (PeopleSoft to SuccessFactors) Migrate, rebuild, or build and support new analytics data pipelines, data models, and analytics applications, using cloud infrastructure technology (Azure) and a suite of code first (Python, SQL, PySpark) development tools such as Azure Databricks Collaborate within the HR Data Analytics team and work with stakeholders to understand reports and dashboard needs; implement new data tools such as reports, dashboards, augmented data sets and/or other solutions to meet those needs with Power BI while adhering to data security, compliance, and confidentiality standards. the experience/skills/ability to interface with non-technical customers/clients, be able to translate business needs to technical requirements (utilizing technical skills like DAX, Python, experience in Azure, etc), execute on those requirements to create not only reports and dashboards but also insightful analysis (within Power BI) based on HR related data Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent A minimum of 3 years work in analytics such as data analysis, data science or data engineering, in HR or People Analytics, or another analytical field Familiarity with working with HR based data from HRIS such as PeopleSoft or SuccessFactors Expertise working with large data sets using cloud infrastructure, and first-hand familiarity developing and deploying data pipelines or integrations with Databricks, Azure Data Factory, or similar technologies Expertise applying a broad range of analytical methodologies including statistical analyses, exploratory data analysis, or data visualizations, to solve data problems and design improved data sets for analytics Proficiency with a variety of tools for data manipulation, visualization, modeling, and analysis, including one or more of Python, SQL, and other code-based tools; and Power BI for dashboard development Demonstrated ability to support users of large production operations Proven project execution and communication skills: Ability to define projects, set expectations among stakeholders, organize work streams and deliver needed solutions Demonstrated ability to collaborate with a variety of partners in complex projects Desired: Master’s level education in a field related to analytics, data science, or other science, with experience with statistical and/or machine learning methods Proven experience using Databricks and Azure to develop complex data sets This is a fully remote position, but requires hours of Monday-Friday from 8am-5pm AZ Time Zone Job Types: Full-time, Contract Pay: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year Benefits: Dental insurance Health insurance Vision insurance Experience: Python: 2 years (Required) Azure Stack Hub: 2 years (Required) PySpark: 2 years (Preferred) Azure Data Bricks: 2 years (Required) Work Location: Remote
