Role description
Position: Senior Dynatrace Engineer Location: Atlanta, GA (Remote/Hybrid) This position is Hybrid (Remote and Onsite). The candidate first day is onsite and onsite on demand basis. Duration: Long Term Project Job Summary: Under limited supervision, coordinates, designs, and secures computer databases to store, track, and maintain a large volume of critical business information. Serves as highest advanced-level subject matter expert, providing authoritative guidance for professional staff. May also serve in a lead role. 1. Monitoring & Observability: β€’ Configure, maintain, and optimize monitoring solutions using Dynatrace. β€’ Enable end-to-end visibility across infrastructure, systems, and applications. β€’ Develop dashboards, alerts, and health checks to ensure system health and reliability. β€’ Monitor service performance and availability and set alert thresholds to minimize false positives. 1. Infrastructure Systems Monitoring: β€’ Monitor Windows/Linux servers, virtual environments, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). β€’ Support monitoring of databases, middleware, and network components. β€’ Collaborate with infrastructure and cloud teams to identify trends and capacity needs. β€’ Proactively identify and resolve issues before they impact production. 1. Application Monitoring: β€’ Use Dynatrace to monitor application performance and transaction flows. β€’ Support synthetic monitoring and real user monitoring. β€’ Work closely with application teams to ensure comprehensive monitoring coverage. β€’ Assist in troubleshooting performance issues at both the application and system level. 1. Incident Support: β€’ Participate in incident response efforts related to performance and availability. β€’ Provide monitoring insights during troubleshooting and root cause analysis. β€’ Identify and close monitoring gaps. 1. Continuous Improvement: β€’ Enhance monitoring standards and documentation. β€’ Recommend improvements to monitoring configurations and alert strategies. β€’ Support integration of monitoring tools with IT Service Management (ITSM) platforms. Requirements: β€’ Education: Bachelor's degree in information systems, Computer Science, or equivalent experience. β€’ Experience: β€’ 5+ years in systems engineering, infrastructure support, or monitoring roles. β€’ 5+ years of hands-on experience with Dynatrace or similar APM tools. β€’ Technical Skills: β€’ Knowledge of Windows/Linux servers, virtualized environments (VMware), and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). β€’ Basic networking understanding (DNS, TCP/IP, load balancing). β€’ Experience with scripting or automation tools like PowerShell or Bash (preferred). β€’ Familiarity with Kubernetes or container monitoring. β€’ Experience with ITIL practices and regulated industries (e.g., healthcare, financial services). β€’ Soft Skills: β€’ Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills. β€’ Effective communication and collaboration across teams. β€’ Detail-oriented with a proactive mindset. β€œTaras Technology, LLC is an EEO/AA Employer: women, minorities, the disabled and veterans are encouraged to apply”
