About the Role:
We are actively seeking a highly skilled RPG Data Migration Analyst to support a major data migration project involving the transition from IBM i-Series (AS/400) to Oracle Fusion. This is a fully remote, long-term contract position ideal for an experienced RPG Programmer or Data Migration Specialist with deep expertise in both platforms.
The ideal candidate will be hands-on, proactive, and capable of working independently within a complex enterprise environment. You ll play a critical role in ensuring the seamless migration, transformation, and integration of legacy data into Oracle Fusion applications.
Key Responsibilities:
β’ Perform data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) activities from i-Series to Oracle Fusion
β’ Write, modify, and optimize RPG Freeform code to facilitate data movement and integrity checks
β’ Work with tools such as RDI, Krengel RSK XML Suite, GoAnywhere, and QEDD
β’ Coordinate with database administrators, ERP functional teams, and business analysts to align data structures
β’ Monitor and validate data migration processes, ensuring completeness and accuracy
β’ Implement and document scripts, data mapping, and technical processes for repeatable migration workflows
β’ Provide technical troubleshooting and support for migration-related issues throughout the project lifecycle
Required Qualifications:
β’ 5+ years of hands-on RPG programming experience in enterprise environments
β’ Proven experience with data migration from IBM i-Series to Oracle Fusion Cloud
β’ Strong understanding of Power10 systems running v7 R5
β’ Experience using:
β’ RPG Freeform
β’ Rational Developer for i (RDI)
β’ Krengel RSK XML Suite for web services integration
β’ GoAnywhere for secure file transfers
β’ QEDD for data replication and mirroring
β’ Strong grasp of data management principles, including integrity, normalization, and mapping
β’ Ability to work independently in a remote setting and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams
Nice to Have:
β’ Experience with Oracle Fusion Data Loader tools and integration points
β’ Familiarity with SQL-based reporting or data extraction tools on both platforms
β’ Exposure to cloud-based ERP data structures and migration practices
