Role description
We are looking for an experienced Integration / API Developer with strong hands-on expertise in IBM DataPower API Gateway and IBM API Connect (APIC). The role involves designing, developing, securing, and supporting enterprise APIs and integrations while ensuring high performance, scalability, and security. • Design, develop, and maintain APIs using IBM API Connect • Implement API mediation, routing, transformation, and security using IBM DataPower API Gateway • Develop and configure DataPower services such as: • Multi-Protocol Gateway (MPGW) • Web Service Proxy • XML Firewall • Implement API security mechanisms including: • OAuth 2.0 • JWT • API Keys • Mutual TLS • Develop custom logic using: • XSLT • GatewayScript (JavaScript) • Create and manage OpenAPI / Swagger specifications • Configure SSL/TLS, crypto profiles, certificates, and key management in DataPower • Integrate APIs with backend systems such as: • REST/SOAP services • Databases • IBM MQ • Troubleshoot and resolve API and gateway issues using logs, probes, and traces • Support API lifecycle activities including deployment, versioning, and retirement • Collaborate with DevOps teams to automate deployments using CI/CD pipelines • Ensure compliance with enterprise security and governance standards • Prepare technical documentation and support knowledge transfer activities
