Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced IBM DataStage Developer with 6 or more years of hands-on experience to join our data engineering team.
• The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in DataStage ETL development, solid SQL Server knowledge, and familiarity with Unix/Linux commands to support data integration, transformation, and migration projects.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and maintain ETL jobs using IBM DataStage to extract, transform, and load data from various sources.
• Write complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and scripts in SQL Server to support data extraction and transformation processes.
• Work with Unix/Linux environments to execute scripts, monitor batch jobs, and troubleshoot issues related to ETL processes.
• Collaborate with data architects, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Perform unit testing, debugging, and performance tuning of ETL jobs.
• Participate in code reviews and provide technical guidance to junior developers.
Required Skills and Qualifications
• Minimum 6 years of experience as an IBM DataStage Developer.
• Proficient in SQL Server with experience writing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and performance tuning.
• Familiarity with Unix/Linux commands and shell scripting for job automation and troubleshooting.
• Experience with data warehousing concepts, ETL best practices, and data integration techniques.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment with good communication skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
