Notes Job Description, Day to Day, Education, Certification, etc.: W2 candidates only Local candidates needed in DMV Purpose Performs complex analysis, design, development, testing, and debugging of computer software ranging from operating system architecture integration and software design to selection of computer systems, language, and/or equipment. Designs, develops/codes, tests, and documents critical and complex application programs for computer systems. Works with appropriate stakeholders to define system scope and objectives and establish baselines. Establishes project standards and processes. Breaks down software requirements and creates highly complex systems. Essential Functions 25% Perform technical detail design, coding, testing of applications. Serves as subject matter expert for both customer and internal discussions related to maintaining and enhancing existing software systems. Develop and/or analyze interface design documentation. Comply with hardware and software systems standards and procedures. Deliver large systems for tens of thousands of users. Comply with code quality, migration and dev/ops standards and policies 25% Performs software analysis, including requirements and uses case development and design. Implements and documents source code to design specifications. Performs software testing including developing and running automated unit tests, drafting, and executing structured automated test cases. Compile, assess, and report data results from software testing and analysis. 25% Develops software solutions for enterprise environments and other technologies. Analyzes and implements functional and non-functional (e.g. performance, availability) requirements and designs, implements, and tests software. Performs operations & maintenance (O&M) of existing systems. Identifies areas for improvement and streamlining. Demonstrated experience with front-end and back-end programing and integration frameworks and tools. Assist in the estimation of development of application features 25% Provides direct technical support for high level, high visibility and critical trouble calls for supported applications. Works with cross functional teams to develop highly reliable software that runs at scale. Provides recommendations to infuse new technology. Extend open-source libraries and systems as necessary to meet the needs of the team. Play a crucial role in product scoping and roadmap / architecture discussions. Continually evaluate emerging technologies to identify opportunities, trends, and best practices. Education Level: Bachelor's Degree Education Details: Information Technology or Computer Science Experience: 5 years experience with software development, basic coding and compilation, software architecture/design, user requirements definition and software specification development. In Lieu of Education In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience is required in addition to the required work experience. Preferred Qualifications The position will require working with broad cutting edge technologies, including, but not limited to AWS API Gateway, API Management System (APIM), IBM API Connect, IBM DataPower, Automation Suites for testing API, Venafi Systems, CyberArk, Python, Node JS, Java, Spring, Web Security, REST Services, Micro Services, Role Based Access Control (RBAC) security model, Identity and Access Management, Single Sign On (SSO), Kubernetes and containerization technologies, Internet technologies for web browsers, and the other integration technology. • The Candidate must play the role of subject matter expert in the field of Web Services, microservices and REST API. • Review the API specification for conformance of the enterprise standards and API governance framework • Review the documentation and make recommendation for change • Design and develop framework (reusable routines) using REST API Specifications and manage lifecycle of API’s • Work with CI/CD team to create necessary custom Jenkins pipelines • Design, develop and implement custom API flows and Publish API’s to APIM platform • Experience with SwaggerHub Enterprise version/Open source version • Generate reports from APIM Analytics • Experience with OAuth and JWT (with OpenID Connect) • Participate in customer onboarding activities on to API Gateway platform and participate in triage activities • Support production release activities & troubleshooting issues • Experience managing/deploying APIs on Cloud and On-premise API Gateway solutions • Experience with AWS & AWS API Gateways • Knowledge of graphQL API • Automation ideation and scripting capabilities • Hands on orientation • Documentation skills to create API standard/guidelines and maintenance • Be able to work in high efficiently way with high quality • Be able to address issue without delay • High trouble shooting skills • High communication skills Additional Skills AWS & AWS API Gateway Terraform - Nice to Have Lambda authorizer SwaggerHub Node JS Python Jenkins Pipelines Open API Specifications 2.0/3.0 IBM DataPower v10 IBM API Connect v10 Bash/shell scripting IBM Cloud Saas Platform Good to have Java 21, Spring Framework, DB2 Business Justification Our projects will need integration with API's exposed through APIM Platform. APIM is a Platform that integrates different front-end technologies with backend web servers. The candidate will help review and publish the APIs as per enterprise standards. Also help in troubleshooting issues that the team might see, and evaluating, conduct proof of concept and implementation cloud solution to meet organization technology modernization goals.
