IBM MQ Specialist

Role: IBM MQ specialist Location: Hartford, CT (onsite ) Long term Contract IBM MQ Administration (Primary) • Administer, configure, and support IBM MQ environments across dev/test/prod. • Manage queue managers, clusters, channels, security (TLS, CHLAUTH, OAM), and HA/DR. • Perform monitoring, tuning, troubleshooting, patching, upgrades, and incident resolution. • Automate MQ operations using scripting and infrastructure‑as‑code approaches. • Ensure platform stability, performance, and compliance with enterprise standards. • Create and maintain operational runbooks and documentation. • Assist application teams with MQ client configurations and messaging patterns. Development & Integration Support (Secondary) • Support and develop small utilities or tools in .NET, Java, Python, or Go. • Collaborate with API and integration platforms such as DataPower or MuleSoft. • Contribute to CI/CD and automation efforts related to MQ and integrations.
