Role description
OverviewWe are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Industrial Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in manufacturing processes and engineering principles, with a focus on continuous improvement and efficiency. This role involves analyzing and optimizing production systems, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and implementing innovative solutions to enhance productivity within our manufacturing facility. Responsibilities Conduct project scheduling to ensure timely completion of engineering projects. Perform root cause analysis to identify issues within manufacturing processes and develop effective solutions. Utilize AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Creo for designing layouts, schematics, and tooling. Program and troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automated systems. Apply knowledge of plastics injection molding processes to improve product quality and efficiency. Engage in robot programming and automation to streamline operations on the assembly line. Collaborate with manufacturing teams to implement lean manufacturing principles for waste reduction. Analyze factory operations to enhance mechanical knowledge and improve overall performance. Support fabrication processes by providing engineering expertise in welding, CNC programming, and CAM programming. Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 standards throughout all engineering processes. Develop vision inspection systems to maintain product quality standards. Drive continuous improvement initiatives across all aspects of manufacturing operations. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Proven experience in a manufacturing environment with factory experience preferred. Strong understanding of industrial equipment and robotics applications. Proficiency in CAD software including AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Creo. Familiarity with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles. Experience with CNC programming and tooling practices is highly desirable. Knowledge of lean manufacturing methodologies and process engineering techniques. Simulation Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to conduct thorough root cause analysis. Strong mechanical knowledge related to assembly line operations and fabrication methods. Effective communication skills for collaboration across various departments.
