THE ROLE We have an existing client with a need for an Infor Sales & Catering Solution (SCS) report writer familiar with either Infor Report Job Scheduler Wizard or Birst. LOCATION / DURATION We are Infor preferred delivery partners so we do have a busy pipeline of projects across the Infor product line. This particular opportunity is 100% remote. Job Title: Infor SCS Report Writer / Birst Developer Position Overview We are seeking a skilled Infor SCS Report Writer to design, develop, and maintain operational and strategic reporting solutions for our hospitality and event management platform. In this role, you will bridge the gap between complex data architectures and business leaders by transforming raw data into actionable insights. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience utilizing the Infor SCS Report Job Scheduler Wizard for automated, recurring operational delivery, as well as Infor Birst for advanced business intelligence, interactive dashboards, and multi-dimensional analytics. Key ResponsibilitiesReport Development & Automation • Design, build, and deploy custom reports within the Infor Sales & Catering Solution (SCS) ecosystem to support sales, event management, and corporate operations. • Utilize the Report Job Scheduler Wizard to configure, automate, and monitor recurring report distributions, ensuring business stakeholders receive critical operational metrics seamlessly. • Build advanced data models, interactive dashboards, and self-service analytics using Infor Birst. Data Analytics & Modeling • Map backend Infor SCS database schemas and transactional data structures to enterprise Birst logical models. • Write, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries, views, and stored procedures to extract data efficiently. • Perform data validation and rigorous testing to ensure report accuracy and consistency against live transactional data. Stakeholder Collaboration & Support • Partner with sales executives, catering directors, and revenue management teams to gather reporting requirements and translate vague business requests into precise technical scoping. • Troubleshoot and resolve reporting anomalies, schedule failures, and performance bottlenecks within both Birst and the core SCS application. • Provide documentation for newly created reports, data definitions, and automated scheduling workflows. Required Technical Qualifications • Infor SCS Expertise: Proven experience writing and modifying reports specifically tailored to the Infor Sales & Catering/Hospitality modules. • Scheduling Automation: Deep understanding of the Report Job Scheduler Wizard, including managing triggers, distribution lists, and output formats (PDF, Excel, CSV). • Infor Birst BI: Strong proficiency in Infor Birst development, including Space administration, ETL workflows, Logical Modeling, and dashboard creation. • Database Skills: Advanced proficiency in SQL for data extraction and analysis. • Hospitality Domain Knowledge: Strong understanding of standard hospitality metrics (e.g., RevPAS, pickup tracking, group block utilization, and catering cover trends). Preferred Qualifications • Experience migrating legacy standard reports into modern Birst dashboards. • Familiarity with broader Infor OS components (Mongoose, Infor Ion) or integrations with property management systems (PMS) and CRMs. • Infor Birst or Infor SCS technical certifications.
