Job Title: Informatica Data Catalog Engineer / Governance Location: Onsite in Torrance, CA Pay Range: $59.00 $71.00 per hour, based on experience and internal equity Schedule: Full-time, contract; long-term multi-year opportunity Work Type: Hybrid 4 days in office, 1 day remote Benefits: Health, Vision, Dental, Life Insurance, 401k, Continuing and on-demand education You must be willing to work onsite in Torrance, CA Sponsorship is available for this role ONLY W2 NO CORP to CORP NO 3rd Parties Position Summary: We are seeking an Informatica Data Catalog Engineer / Governance professional with extensive expertise in Informatica CD IDMC, and related governance tools to configure, manage, and optimize enterprise data catalog and governance environments. This role will involve configuring security and access roles, integrating SAML/SSO with ticketing systems, creating connections to multiple data sources, resolving performance bottlenecks, and supporting governance efforts to classify and protect sensitive financial and customer data. Key Responsibilities: • Configure security, role-based access controls (RBAC), and policy-based access controls (PBAC) • Create and configure connections to SaaS platforms, mainframe, databases, NoSQL, and AWS services (S3, Athena, Redshift) • Troubleshoot and resolve connection setup issues and profiling performance bottlenecks • Monitor IPU consumption and automate reporting for domain teams • Configure Cloud Marketplace with Informatica CDand CDMC for policy-based data protection • Review Informatica upgrade schedules, evaluate new features, and communicate updates to technical and business teams • Coordinate with business teams on upgrade timelines and implementations • Collaborate with infrastructure teams to establish AWS ECS/EKS clusters for profiling workloads • Develop APIs to fetch cross-region metadata and glossaries between North America and Japan • Ensure compliance with governance standards (GDPR, CCPA, SOX, etc.) • Set up SAML/SSO, users, groups, certificates, and IP listing • Perform metadata scanning, profiling, and data observability • Define and implement data quality rules Required Skills & Experience: • 6+ years of professional, hands-on work experience in Informatica platform administration • 5+ years of professional, hands-on work experience in data catalog and governance (CDGC) administration • 3+ years of professional, hands-on work experience with Informatica APIs • 3+ years of professional, hands-on work experience in Informatica data integration • 2+ years of professional, hands-on work experience in Informatica data marketplace and data access management tools • Strong knowledge of the overall IDMC platform • Professional experience in auto finance (originations, servicing, collections, customer data) • Strong communication, presentation, and collaboration skills • Ability to foster knowledge sharing and collaboration across teams Preferred Qualifications: • Informatica CDcertification • AWS certifications • 3+ years of Big 4 consulting experience • Stable work history with large enterprise organizations
