Role : Information Architect Location : London, UK (Hybrid 2 days onsite/week) Contract (InsideIR35) Skills & Experience · Strong data/information architecture and modelling expertise · Experience with metadata, taxonomy, and governance tools ( IBM Manta, Data.World) · Knowledge of GDPR and regulatory frameworks · Understanding of insurance data domains (preferred) · Ability to bridge business, data, and technology --- Key Responsibilities Information Structure & Classification · Define enterprise metadata, taxonomy, and data classification frameworks · Standardise business definitions for consistency and discoverability · Embed privacy, sensitivity, and handling rules into information assets Information Flow & Lineage · Design and document end-to-end information flows across systems and domains · Maintain data lineage and dependencies · Ensure flows support operations, analytics, and AI use cases Conceptual Modelling · Develop high-level information models aligned to core insurance domains · Ensure consistency across platforms, datasets, and products · Support data quality and observability frameworks Governance & Regulatory Alignment · Embed GDPR, retention, and lifecycle policies into information design · Align classification with security and compliance requirements · Support Data Governance Group and audit obligations Information Lifecycle · Define standards for creation, usage, retention, and disposal · Enable data minimisation and ethical handling · Partner with engineering to implement lifecycle controls --- Accountabilities · Deliver a consistent enterprise Information Architecture framework · Improve data trust, quality, and discoverability · Enable regulatory compliance and reporting · Provide the foundation for AI and advanced analytics
