S3 never asks for money during its onboarding process.” Job Title: Information Security Data EngineerLocation: Charlotte, NC 28202Contract Length: 12+ MonthsHybrid Work (3 days on site/ 2 days remote)Pay: 65-75 an hr on W2 Qualifications/Requirements 5+ years in data engineering with a focus on SQL Server and SSIS. Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric components such as Azure Data Factory, Synapse, and Data Lake. Strong SQL skills, including performance tuning, stored procedures, and job automation. Experience with enterprise-scale ETL processes and data warehousing. Familiarity with data governance, security, and compliance in regulated environments. Financial services experience specifically big banks. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Spark SQL, PySpark, or Databricks within Microsoft Fabric. Exposure to DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines for data workflows. Knowledge of structured streaming and real-time data processing. Familiarity with metadata management and data cataloging tools. Tools & Technologies Microsoft SQL Server (2016+) SSIS, SSMS, SQL Server Agent Microsoft Fabric (Azure Data Factory, Synapse, OneLake) PowerShell, Python (for automation and validation) Git, Azure DevOps Key Responsibilities Design and implement ETL pipelines using SSIS and SQL Server to support data ingestion, transformation, and delivery across cybersecurity platforms. Develop and optimize data workflows within the Microsoft Fabric ecosystem, including Azure Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, and OneLake. Collaborate with data analysts, architects, and cybersecurity SMEs to translate business requirements into scalable data solutions. Maintain and enhance SSIS packages, including deployment, configuration, and job scheduling via SQL Server Agent. Participate in database migration and modernization efforts, including Always On configurations and cross-data center replication. Ensure data quality, integrity, and lineage through rigorous validation, logging, and monitoring practices. Support hybrid cloud deployments and integration between on-premises SQL environments and Microsoft Fabric services. Document data models, workflows, and operational procedures for QA, audit and knowledge transfer.
