A leading financial services organization is seeking an IT Business Analyst with a strong focus on IT Infrastructure and Operations to support enterprise initiatives within a highly regulated environment.
This role sits at the intersection of business and technology, working closely with IT leadership, operations teams, and business stakeholders to drive process improvements, enhance service delivery, and ensure alignment between operational capabilities and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Service Delivery & Business Analysis
• Partner with business stakeholders to gather, document, and validate business and system requirements
• Analyze current IT and operational processes to identify opportunities for improvement, automation, and optimization
• Translate business needs into clear functional and technical requirements for IT teams
• Support full project lifecycle activities including requirements gathering, solution design, testing, and implementation
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between business goals and IT solutions
• Develop documentation including process flows, use cases, user stories, and business requirement documents (BRDs)
• Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to validate that solutions meet business requirements
• Track project progress and communicate status, risks, and issues to key stakeholders
• Ensure adherence to internal standards, governance frameworks, and regulatory requirements
Data Analysis & Reporting
• Work with IT and business leadership to identify data-driven improvement opportunities
• Collect, analyze, and interpret operational and performance data
• Develop reports and dashboards for internal teams and stakeholders
• Create visualizations (charts, graphs, dashboards) to communicate insights effectively
• Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure business outcomes
• Present findings and recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• 3–5 years of experience in one or more of the following:
• IT Operations
• IT Service Management
• Business Process Analysis
• IT Governance, Risk, or Compliance
• Working knowledge of IT service management frameworks (e.g., ITIL)
• Experience operating within complex enterprise IT environments
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work both independently and in cross-functional team settings
Preferred Skills & Competencies
• Experience with Agile and/or Waterfall delivery methodologies
• Strong background in requirements elicitation and documentation
• Business process mapping and optimization experience
• Stakeholder engagement across technical and non-technical groups
• Experience in financial services or other regulated industries
