12-Month Contract with Possibility for Extensions | On-site 5x a week | 40-45/HR Overview We are seeking an experienced Business Systems Analyst to operate at the intersection of technology, cybersecurity, and business operations. This individual will play a critical role in analyzing business processes, identifying gaps, and supporting the design and implementation of IT and security solutions that align with organizational goals. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys partnering across teams to translate technical risk into clear, actionable insights that drive informed decision-making. You will focus on enabling the business to operate securely and efficientlyβ€”prioritizing clarity, collaboration, and impact over gatekeeping. Key Responsibilities β€’ Analyze business processes and practices to design and implement IT and cybersecurity solutions aligned with business initiatives β€’ Serve as a trusted partner to business, infrastructure, and OT teams to understand how systems are used in real-world environments β€’ Translate cybersecurity risks (e.g., vulnerabilities, OT exposures) into business-relevant impact and recommended actions β€’ Support decision-making by clearly communicating risk, tradeoffs, and remediation strategies β€’ Identify interdependencies, functional gaps, and opportunities for process improvement β€’ Lead or support application testing, documentation updates, and continuous process improvement efforts β€’ Partner with engineering and operations teams to ensure solutions align with actual system usage and operational needs β€’ Assist with security reviews across OT environments and hybrid IT/OT architectures β€’ Support the secure integration of new systems, vendors, or acquisitions into existing environments β€’ Prioritize remediation efforts based on operational impact and risk exposure β€’ Track remediation commitments, timelines, and identify recurring or systemic issues β€’ Contribute to risk assessments, exception reviews, and cybersecurity documentation β€’ Gather and translate security requirements into clear deliverables for non-technical stakeholders β€’ Develop clear summaries, risk narratives, reports, and visualizations for leadership β€’ Standardize processes, templates, and frameworks to improve efficiency and reduce rework Required Qualifications β€’ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field β€’ 11–15 years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst or in a similar role β€’ Strong experience in IT budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis β€’ Proven ability to analyze complex problems and deliver innovative, strategic solutions β€’ Ability to work independently with minimal guidance and lead initiatives when needed β€’ Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical audiences β€’ Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking capabilities Preferred Experience Experience in one or more of the following areas: β€’ Operational Technology (OT), Industrial Control Systems (ICS), or industrial environments β€’ Energy, utilities, gas, or critical infrastructure sectors β€’ IT infrastructure, networking, or systems administration β€’ Cybersecurity, risk management, or vulnerability management
