Information Technology Business Analyst

Title: IT Business Analyst Location: Hybrid in Chattanooga, TN Type: Long-term Contract | Potential for Conversion Position Overview We are seeking a Business Analyst to support enterprise-level technology initiatives by gathering and documenting requirements, improving business processes, and partnering with stakeholders across the organization. This role will work closely with business and IT teams to ensure solutions are clearly defined, aligned to business needs, and successfully delivered. Key Responsibilities • Gather, analyze, and document business and system requirements • Facilitate meetings and workshops with stakeholders to define needs and priorities • Create and maintain documentation including user stories, process flows, and data flows • Translate business requirements into functional specifications for technical teams • Support business process improvement and re-engineering efforts • Partner with cross-functional teams throughout the project lifecycle • Assist in evaluating solution options and supporting decision-making • Ensure requirements traceability from initial concept through implementation • Support testing efforts and validate that solutions meet business requirements Required Qualifications • 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or in a related role • Experience gathering and documenting requirements in a structured environment • Strong stakeholder communication and facilitation skills • Experience creating user stories, process maps, and functional documentation • Ability to work across multiple projects and priorities • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience) Preferred Qualifications • Experience supporting system implementations or large-scale initiatives • Experience working in cross-functional or matrixed environments • Familiarity with business analysis best practices or frameworks (e.g., BABOK) • Experience with tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, or Visio Work Environment • Primarily remote with occasional onsite collaboration as needed • Fast-paced environment supporting multiple initiatives • Opportunity to work closely with both business and technical teams Disclaimer: Brooksource, Medasource, and Calculated Hire are part of the Eight Eleven Group family of companies and operate under Eight Eleven Group, LLC.
