Senior IT Business Analyst
Location: Hybrid (3 days onsite) – Duluth, GA (preferred), San Antonio, TX, or Minneapolis, MN
Overview
We are seeking a Senior IT Business Analyst to serve as a hands-on partner between business stakeholders and IT teams. This role focuses on business process discovery, requirements elicitation, and high-quality documentation—not people management. The ideal candidate excels at translating business needs into clearly defined functional requirements that drive efficient, data-informed solutions.
Key Responsibilities
• Engage business leaders and stakeholders to understand objectives, challenges, and opportunities for process and system improvement
• Lead requirements elicitation activities including interviews, workshops, and documentation reviews
• Analyze and document business processes, workflows, and use cases with a high level of accuracy and consistency
• Develop clear, well-structured artifacts such as business requirements documents (BRDs), functional requirements, process flows, and data mappings
• Collaborate closely with Business Relationship Managers (BRMs), Product Owners, IT teams, vendors, and subject matter experts to support solution delivery
• Drive the business agenda throughout the solution lifecycle and support implementation activities
• Evaluate current systems and procedures to identify optimization opportunities and recommend feasible solutions
• Analyze business and operational data to support decision-making and reporting
• Identify, communicate, and help manage risks, dependencies, and change impacts
• Function as a liaison between internal teams and external vendors
• Adapt quickly to changing priorities and manage ambiguity in fast-paced environments
Required Skills & Experience
• 3–5+ years of hands-on Business Analyst experience (individual contributor role)
• Strong background in business process design, discovery, and documentation
• Excellent written and verbal communication and documentation skills
• Proven experience gathering, organizing, and maintaining business process and workflow documentation
• Ability to analyze data, trends, and operational metrics to develop actionable recommendations
• Experience working cross-functionally with business and technical teams
• Strong problem-solving and process improvement mindset
• Comfortable working in evolving, ambiguous environments
Preferred Technical Knowledge
• Exposure to ACD, IVR, CTI, and cloud telephony environments
• Understanding of systems, software, and core technology concepts
• Familiarity with SQL, Excel, and data analysis or reporting tools
• Awareness of data modeling or requirements engineering methodologies
Education
• Bachelor’s degree required
