A confidential public‑sector organization is seeking an experienced Business Analyst – Advanced to support its Information Technology Services Project Management Office (PMO). This role plays a key part in analyzing business processes, documenting workflows, supporting system implementations, and ensuring successful delivery across multiple IT initiatives.
This opportunity is ideal for a Business Analyst who excels at bridging business needs and technical solutions within complex, enterprise‑level environments.
Business Process Analysis & Workflow Mapping
• Facilitate working sessions with business and technical stakeholders
• Document current‑state and future‑state workflows, process maps, and narratives
• Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and efficiency gains
• Produce clear documentation including workflow diagrams, SOPs, and process artifacts
System Integration & Data Flow Analysis
• Document system integrations and data flows between enterprise applications
• Analyze system dependencies, upstream/downstream impacts, and integration risks
• Collaborate with technical teams to understand APIs, interfaces, and data exchange
Requirements Gathering & Documentation
• Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements
• Translate business needs into structured artifacts such as:
• Business Requirements Documents (BRDs)
• Functional requirements
• Use cases and user stories
• Requirements traceability matrices
PMO & Project Support
• Support project managers across multiple active IT projects
• Assist with tracking tasks, action items, and deliverables
• Maintain and organize project documentation
Stakeholder Engagement & Testing Support
• Facilitate workshops to validate workflows and system functionality
• Support system testing activities, including UAT documentation and validation
• Ensure implemented solutions align with documented requirements
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field
• 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst supporting IT or enterprise systems
• 5+ years of experience with system integrations, APIs, and data flows
• 5+ years of experience gathering and documenting business and functional requirements
• Strong experience facilitating meetings and workshops with diverse stakeholders
Nice to Have
• Experience supporting or working within a PMO
• Experience with enterprise system implementations or modernization initiatives
• Proficiency using process modeling tools such as Visio, Lucidchart, or similar
• Public‑sector or government IT experience
