Job Title: IT Contract Management Analyst – Senior
Location: Oakland, CA (Hybrid – 1–3 days onsite per week; mandatory Wednesday onsite)

Position Summary
• A leading energy and technology organization is seeking a highly motivated IT Contract Management Analyst – Senior to manage a portfolio of technology contracts for IT leadership. The role acts as the primary interface with vendors and internal stakeholders for day-to-day contract management. The analyst will implement enterprise policies, oversee risk controls, ensure invoice compliance, track O&M costs, and drive consensus on contract strategy with IT leadership.
• This role includes identifying cost optimization opportunities, rationalizing contracts, and coordinating with PMO and sourcing teams to ensure accurate O&M cost capture. Candidates must provide PowerPoint work samples with their resume, as strong presentation skills are essential.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage daily contract operations and provide general IT business and planning support.
• Gather, analyze, and summarize data; prepare management reports and executive presentations.
• Enter contract financial liabilities into contract management systems.
• Assist with contract renewal analysis, multi-year financial reviews, and cost planning.
• Maintain annual Operational Expense (O&M) budgets; track financial data and prepare ad-hoc status reports.
• Monitor purchase orders, review invoices, accruals, and resolve vendor discrepancies.
• Analyze actual spend vs. forecast and recommend change controls and escalations as needed.
• Identify inappropriate charges and make corrections in SAP as required.
• Lead meetings and act as a liaison among stakeholders to document and coordinate contract changes.
• Develop dashboards, PowerPoint decks, and other communication tools for executive leadership.
• Facilitate problem-solving sessions and workshops with cross-functional teams.
• Collaborate with data management and financial analysis teams to build and migrate reports to Power BI.
• Extract and analyze SAP data to support business intelligence reporting.
• Partner with IT and functional leadership to define key business, financial, and performance metrics.
Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
• 5–8 years of relevant experience in IT contract management, finance, or business analysis.
• Expert-level Microsoft Excel skills; proficient in PowerPoint, Microsoft Office, and Visio.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and financial management capabilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to present to senior leadership.
Desired Qualifications
• Valid CA driver’s license (if needed for onsite visits).
• Experience structuring contracts and performing contract negotiations.
• Basic financial modeling or advanced data management experience.
• Experience with Power BI and other data visualization tools.
• Proven ability to prepare executive-level presentations and dashboards.
