Role description
Looking for H1B TRANSFER CANDIDATES We are seeking a highly seasoned Senior ServiceNow Developer / Technical Lead to spearhead the architecture, advanced development, and governance of our enterprise ServiceNow ecosystem. In this role, you will act as the primary technical authority, translating complex, cross-functional business requirements into scalable, high-performance solutions. You will be responsible for defining technical standards, establishing robust governance protocols (including citizen development guardrails), and leading large-scale deployments, upgrades, and multi-system integrations. The ideal candidate brings a rare mix of deep technical expertise in JavaScript/Glide scripting, a comprehensive understanding of core and emerging ServiceNow modules, and strong leadership capabilities to mentor engineering teams. Key Responsibilities Architecture & Advanced Development • End-to-End Solutions: Architect, configure, and develop scalable custom applications, automated workflows, and complex features across enterprise instances. • Core Scripting: Write clean, optimized, and maintainable code using advanced JavaScript, Glide APIs, Script Includes, Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, and UI Actions. • Modern Workflows: Design and implement automated processes using Flow Designer, IntegrationHub, and the Automated Test Framework (ATF) to ensure regression-safe upgrades. • AI & Innovation: Evaluate and implement emerging platform features, including Now Assist (GenAI capabilities) and custom LLM API integrations. Module Expertise & Integration • Multi-Module Scope: Lead full-lifecycle implementations and support across ITSM, ITOM (Discovery, Service Mapping), ITAM/HAM/SAM, CSM, HRSD, and custom Scoped Apps via App Engine. • Enterprise Integration: Architect and build secure, real-time integrations between ServiceNow and third-party enterprise systems (e.g., SAP, Salesforce, AWS, Azure) using REST/SOAP web services, MID Servers, OAuth, and webhooks. • CMDB Governance: Own the health, data model integrity, and normalization of the Configuration Management Database (CMDB), ensuring precise data aggregation from multiple discovery sources. Platform Governance & Leadership • Technical Leadership: Act as the subject matter expert (SME) for code reviews, ensuring the team adheres to platform best practices, security guardrails, and maintainability standards. • Upgrade Management: Plan and execute major platform version upgrade strategies, performing risk assessments, delta analyses, and post-upgrade remediations. • Citizen Development Guardrails: Help define and govern the platform's citizen development framework, ensuring non-technical creators build safely without introducing technical debt. Qualifications & Skills Experience Requirements • Total IT Experience: Minimum of 12 years of hands-on experience in Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies (Agile/Scrum/SAFe). • ServiceNow Focus: 8+ years of dedicated, hands-on development and architecture experience within the ServiceNow ecosystem. • US Market Exposure: Proven track record of delivering enterprise-scale ServiceNow solutions for large US corporate clients or federal environments. Technical Skill Set • Languages: Deep proficiency in JavaScript, AngularJS, Bootstrap, HTML5, CSS3, and jQuery. • ServiceNow Internals: Mastery of GlideRecord, GlideAjax, Workflow Editor, Service Portal, and Domain Separation (highly preferred). • Integrations: Expert knowledge of JSON, XML, REST, SOAP, and secure authentication methods.
