The Role:
The publishing team is focused on delivering amazing out of game experiences for players.
The Insights discipline helps empower Company's decision-making to be more data-informed, and in this role, you will join the Publishing Insights team and work alongside the product team to ensure that product strategies and decisions are grounded in data, leading to positive outcomes for both fans and Company. You will lead analytics projects for publishing that drive understanding of our global audience and players, uncover product opportunities for sports across our portfolio.
As a Principal Insights Analyst, you will use strategic thinking, quantitative analysis, and structured problem solving to inform product decisions and ultimately improve business and player outcomes for our games and sports. You will report directly to the Manager of Publishing Insights.
Responsibilities:
β’ Partner with product managers to identify high-impact strategic bets and growth opportunities for sports within global esports.
β’ Define and implement KPIs for international leagues, enabling regional leads to optimize operations through data-driven insights.
β’ Break down complex challenges into structured, data-informed frameworks that empower stakeholders to make informed decisions.
β’ Develop new metrics and analytical models to identify global gaming audiences and Company's Gamesβ audience, informing product and portfolio strategy.
β’ Build dashboards, data pipelines, and experiments to analyze key performance drivers, player behaviors, and overall league performance.
β’ Design and implement A/B tests and causal inference methodologies to evaluate product efficacy, driving meaningful outcomes for players and fans.
β’ Work closely with Insights and product teams at Company's Los Angeles headquarters to align on strategic priorities and enhance data capabilities.
Required Qualifications:
β’ 7+ years professional experience in analytics, data science, product management, business strategy, or related field in gaming, media or consumer technology
β’ Professional experience or a graduate degree involving analyzing large datasets to synthesize clear takeaways
β’ Professional experience developing business or product strategy
β’ Strong expertise in SQL or Python (will be using daily)
β’ Proficiency in data analysis and managing complex spreadsheets using MS Excel or Google Sheets
β’ Strong stakeholder management and communications skills
Desired Qualifications:
β’ Proficiency in Databricks
β’ Proficiency in Tableau
β’ Experience in data pipeline tools such as dbt
β’ Expertise working with senior executive stakeholders or product team counterparts
Pay Rate: $91.32 - $118.58
