The Texas Education Agency is seeking a Data Analyst to support the development of a platform that presents school system data in a clear, actionable way. This role focuses on transforming complex datasets into insights and recommendations that help schools set goals, track progress, and improve student outcomes. 🔍 Key Responsibilities • Analyze school system data and provide actionable recommendations • Build and maintain low-code platforms (Power Platform, Qualtrics, etc.) • Create dashboards and tools to centralize school data • Develop forms, surveys, and applications to automate data collection • Analyze federal and state plan data to identify overlaps and redundancies • Propose data-driven solutions to unify reporting requirements • Build scorecards and trackers (Excel-based or similar) • Monitor school system progress and performance metrics • Translate complex data into clear insights for non-technical users ✅ Required Skills & Experience 8+ years of experience in: • Data analytics • Data storytelling • Experience with low-code platforms • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel • Experience with Power BI or other visualization tools • Ability to synthesize data across multiple sources • Strong communication skills for non-technical audiences • Ability to work independently in a remote environment 🌟 Preferred Qualifications • Experience with Qualtrics or Smartsheet • Experience working with state agencies or the education sector • Background in statutory, compliance, or policy-related data • Experience with automated data collection tools • Experience supporting planning, goal-setting, or performance monitoring
