Data Strategy & Governance Lead – Azure / Databricks Global Risk Consulting Firm – Associate Opportunity Robert Half International (an S&P 500 global staffing provider) is supporting a leading global risk consulting firm in sourcing an interim Data Strategy & Governance Lead. This role will help a major end-client in the hospitality/retail sector unlock value from their Azure / Databricks data platform by embedding governance strategy and driving business adoption. Role highlights: • Initial 6-month contract (scope to extend) • Hybrid, minimum 2 days per week on-site in London • Day rate circa £650–700 (umbrella) Key responsibilities: • Set the data governance and strategy direction for the Azure / Databricks platform • Drive business stakeholder engagement across C-suite and functions to embed governance and adoption • Shape and adapt the roadmap to align with evolving business needs • Oversee and align governance with regulatory requirements (GDPR, DORA, privacy) • Bridge between technical teams and business communities, ensuring adoption of data products • Enable future use cases across analytics, AI and ML Ideal profile: • Proven leadership in data governance and strategy (not just tooling) • Strong knowledge of Azure / Databricks platforms • Skilled in stakeholder engagement and aligning governance with business priorities • Background in hospitality or retail industries preferred • Ability to work at both strategic and operational levels All candidates must undergo Verifile financial, criminal, and Right to Work checks before onboarding.
