Role description
This temporary role as an Interim Information Governance / Data Protection Manager in Kent involves overseeing compliance and data protection within the healthcare industry. You'll ensure the organisation adheres to legal standards and manages information securely and effectively. Client Details A private healthcare provider with private hospital based in Kent. Description The Interim Information Governance / Data Protection Manager • Develop and implement information governance policies and procedures. • Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and other legal requirements. • Provide expert advice on information governance matters to internal stakeholders. • Clear a back log of DPIAs • Undertake LIAs • Manage the ROPA as a priority • Conduct audits to assess compliance with governance frameworks. • Manage data breaches and oversee incident reporting processes. • Deliver training and guidance on information governance best practices. • Prepare reports and documentation for senior management and regulatory bodies. • Monitor and respond to changes in legislation affecting information governance. Profile A successful Interim Information Governance / Data Protection Manager should have: • Experience in information governance or data protection with extensive experience with ROPA. • Strong knowledge of relevant legal and regulatory frameworks, including GDPR. • Able to undertake DPIAs, LIAs and general IG advise. Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills. • The ability to communicate complex information clearly and effectively. • Confidence in working with senior stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
