Job Description:
The Client is requiring a Technical Analyst/Coordinator with strong business analyst skills to provide staff augmentation support for the Public Health Department for a period of 3 months. Strong coordination and communication skills are required to interact with city departments and external stakeholders to identify data requirements, system integrations, and establish and document workflows for data integration. Working in concert with the Business Intelligence (BIDI) team, this position will coordinate and accomplish all tasks to establish a solid data integration to support Opioid response and monitoring efforts. This role will complete the discovery of workflows and information contained in internal and external business systems and document the database fields and content to enable the development of opioid monitoring dashboards. The consultant must become familiar with the current Clientβs business processes, business environment, business intelligence technical environment, and the Clientβs standards for dashboard information product development and system integration. A successful project will include data from, Police, Fire, Health Management Information System homeless solution, Victim Services, Parks and recreation, Behavior Health that can be accessed and used in real-time by internal dashboards.
Under this Scope Of Work (SOW):
β’ The Consultant must have a strong organizational, documentation, and communications skills to accomplish data discovery and documentation of data and integrations within business systems. The selected candidate will have strong written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, demonstrated project management, business analyst ability, and the ability to participate in a team environment to manage complex business intelligence projects.
β’ The Consultant will collaborate with clients and internal city departments to validate business requirements, identity data and workflows to achieve project tasks by their due date. The selected candidate will work directly with the Client's BIDI Manager for all project coordination with the Client's subject matter experts and become familiar with the current Clientβs business processes, business environment, BIDI technical environment and the Clientβs standards for BIDI information dashboard development.
β’ The βOpioid and Substance Surveillance and Monitoring Dashboardβ project strives to collect all relevant data across city departments and external sources related to substance use and overdose. Creating a surveillance and monitoring system is a key public health intervention which will integrate information resulting in improved awareness of the scope of substance use and overdose in the community, provide an opportunity for analysis and interpretation of the whole picture and inform planning and evaluation of interventions to address substance use and related harms.

The client has been working with the newly formed Public Health department for almost one year on Opioid related projects. This is the largest most complex project, requiring data integration from multiple business systems.
The client is seeking assistance to complete tasks for each information provider using the following approach.
