IT Data Analyst (Contract – Mountain View, CA)

Hybrid in Mountain View, CA (3 onsite / 2 remote) Contract - 8 months w/ possible extension or conversion About the Company Our client builds technology centered products used by a large customer base. They focus on strong data practices, reliable systems, and improving operational efficiency. About the Role We’re looking for an IT Business Analyst to support improvements across IT operations and data workflows. You’ll analyze hardware, software, and IT services, identify gaps, and recommend changes. A large part of the work involves building data pipelines, performing ETLs, cleaning data, and preparing datasets for dashboards. Most work is done in SQL and Tableau. You’ll also monitor solutions, troubleshoot issues quickly, and ensure data accuracy for teams that rely on the outputs. What You’ll Do • Improve IT operations and evaluate current systems • Analyze hardware, software, and services for optimization • Build and maintain data pipelines; perform ETLs and data cleaning • Develop dashboards to help stakeholders visualize insights • Ensure accuracy and reliability of data products • Translate requirements into project specifications • Present findings and reports to management • Perform analyses including cost benefit evaluations What You Should Bring • Strong SQL skills • Experience with data pipelines, ETLs, and data cleaning • Experience building dashboards (Tableau preferred) • Strong analytical, research, and problem solving ability • Ability to present findings clearly Nice to Have • Experience running A/B tests or generating insights from data Why Apply If you like improving systems, working with data, and solving meaningful problems, this is a great fit.
