Key Responsibilities
Oversee the City’s IT infrastructure, including end-user devices, servers, networks, workstations, storage/backup systems, security, email, and applications.
Assist in developing and implementing short- and long-term IT goals, objectives, policies, and priorities.
Collaborate with City staff on IT architecture, systems design, network enhancements, and user training.
Monitor and evaluate service delivery methods for efficiency and effectiveness.
Recommend and implement system improvements, manage change control processes, and oversee help desk operations.
Ensure compliance with data security protocols, disaster recovery plans, and applicable laws/regulations.
Select, train, supervise, motivate, and evaluate assigned staff; establish performance standards.
Maintain compliance with records management laws and internal policies.
Represent the IT Infrastructure Division in meetings and training sessions.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Public Administration, Business Administration, or related field.
Minimum 4 years of progressively responsible IT infrastructure experience in a medium-to-large organization.
Minimum 1 year in a supervisory or lead role on IT infrastructure projects.
Strong knowledge of enterprise-level IT systems in a Windows environment, including:
Installation, configuration, and administration of systems, networks, and associated equipment.
Hardware/software security practices, data encryption, antivirus, and end-user protections.
Email, VoIP, mobile device management, and remote access solutions.
Applicable federal, state, and local regulations for public sector IT operations.
Preferred Qualifications
Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) certification.
Experience in municipal or government environments.
Project management or contract administration experience.
