Role description
We are seeking an experienced ERTM Trading Business Analyst to join our team and play a pivotal role in supporting, enhancing, and evolving our global trading technology landscape. This role requires a strong mix of technical expertise, deep industry knowledge, and the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders in a high-pressure trading environment. What You’ll Do β€’ Act as a subject matter expert on trading systems, serving as the bridge between business, technology, and support functions. β€’ Analyse and map RFQ, order, and trade lifecycles to identify and implement efficiency and quality improvements. β€’ Ensure business requirements are clearly understood and delivered at all stages of the project lifecycle. β€’ Provide hands-on support for trading applications, troubleshoot production issues, and collaborate with development and infrastructure teams for resolution. β€’ Deliver scalable algorithmic trading technology in compliance with regulatory frameworks (MiFID II, RTS6, etc.). β€’ Lead exchange certifications, vendor engagement, and deployment activities. β€’ Partner with traders, developers, and support teams to ensure seamless operations and high system performance. What We’re Looking For Industry Knowledge: β€’ 8+ years’ experience in Commodity Trading, Price Risk Management, or Capital Markets/Investment Banking. β€’ Strong understanding of global futures exchanges and the full exchange-traded derivatives trade lifecycle. β€’ Knowledge of market data providers (Bloomberg, Refinitiv, etc.), liquidity aggregation platforms, and regulatory frameworks (MiFID II, EMIR, FCA). Technical Expertise: β€’ Proficiency in FIX protocol engineering and messaging systems. β€’ Strong technical skills in Python, PowerShell, C#, SQL, or other programming languages. β€’ Experience with Windows and Linux environments. β€’ Familiarity with Third Party Networks and EMS/OMS vendors (TT, NYFIX, Bloomberg, TradingScreen). β€’ Experience with network debugging (TCP, multicast) is highly valued. Soft Skills: β€’ Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities. β€’ Strong analytical mindset with problem-solving orientation. β€’ Ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced trading environment. β€’ Proactive, adaptable, and collaborative approach.
