Role description
Job Title: IT Solutions Analyst
Location: Glendale, AZ 85308
Duration: 6 Months plus
Pay Range: $65/hr-$75/hr on W2 (DOE)
The IT Solutions Analyst role is critical for ensuring that the organization's applications and platforms are effectively leveraged to drive business success and enhance efficiency. They act as a tactical partner, bridging the gap between the business and IT to maximize the value derived from these essential technology investments.
Collaborate with Business Relationship Managers/Consultants (BRM/BPC), Business Solutions Analysts (BSA)/Other business partners, Project Managers (PM), Developers and Quality Assurance (QA) and other IT partners as needed:
β’ Work closely with BRM/BPC and BSA to understand needs, collect business requirements, and translate them into technical requirements.
β’ Coordinate with project managers to ensure project timelines and milestones are met.
β’ Develops and maintains comprehensive Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and efficiency in processes.
β’ Identifies and coordinates interdependencies across multiple domains, ensuring seamless integration and alignment of efforts.
β’ Leads and accelerates the delivery of projects and initiatives, driving them to successful completion within set timelines.
β’ Cultivates and sustains strong, collaborative relationships with various domains and key contributing partners, such as the AI Council, Architecture Review Committee (ARC), and others, to foster a cohesive and supportive work environment.
β’ Collaborate with Architects, Developers and others as needed to ensure technical solutions align with business objectives.
β’ Provide Subject Matter Expertise:
β’ Serve as a go-to resource for business stakeholders, providing in-depth knowledge of the applications and platforms.
β’ Review and provide feedback on documentation created by other analysts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
β’ Regularly update BRM/BPC, BSA and PM on the status of issues and risks.
β’ Ensure Accurate Translation and Traceability of Business Requirements into Technical Requirements:
β’ Collaborate as needed with BSA and other business partners to capture all necessary business needs by leveraging Business Requirements Document (BRD)
β’ Validate the technical requirements support the business requirements, delivering expected features and functionality
β’ Create, Maintain and Update Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including technical requirements, design, user stories, and acceptance criteria
β’ Collaborate with Architects and Solution Designers and own the creation of clear and concise technical specifications and documentation, to include items such as systems mapping, data flow mapping, database queries, table updates etc.
β’ Ensure that all documentation is up-to-date and accessible to relevant stakeholders.
β’ Assist with Business Involvement in Testing and Training: Assist with user acceptance testing (UAT) sessions.
β’ Assist with development and delivery of systems related training materials and sessions to help users effectively utilize new or enhanced applications.
β’ Perform Data Analysis and Reporting: Extract, analyze, and interpret data to support business decisions and project outcomes.
β’ Contribute to reports and dashboards to track project progress and performance metrics.
Required Skills & Abilities
β’ Proficiency in IT applications and platforms
β’ Understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and project management methodologies.
β’ Data Analysis: Strong ability to analyze and interpret data to support business decisions. Experience with data extraction and analysis using SQL, and data visualization techniques
β’ Technical Documentation: Expertise in creating and maintaining clear, concise, and comprehensive technical documentation.
β’ Ability to review and provide feedback on documentation created by others.
β’ Testing and Quality Assurance: Knowledge of testing methodologies, including user acceptance testing (UAT). Ability to create and execute test plans and scripts.
β’ Strong problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve user issues.
β’ Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Ability to explain complex technical concepts in simple terms.
β’ Collaboration: Strong teamwork and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams. Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with business partners, project managers, and developers
β’ Project Management: Basic project management skills to help coordinate and track project timelines and milestones. Ability to manage tasks based on priorities.
