🚀 We’re Hiring: Java GCP Engineer | Sheffield, UK (Hybrid) 🚀
Role: Java GCP Engineer
Location: Sheffield, United Kingdom (Hybrid – 3 days onsite)
Type: Fixed-Term Employment – 1 Year
🔑 Key Responsibilities
• Design and review solutions as per project requirements.
• Execute development activities aligned with standards & quality parameters.
• Develop and review code ensuring best practices.
• Set up project environments and ensure timely delivery.
• Deliver end-to-end projects within GCP for Payments Data Platform.
• Provide GCP 24x7 on-call support (1 week per month, rota basis).
• Handle P1 violations/incidents under pressure.
• Work in Agile methodology with ceremonies & sprint commitments.
• Communicate fluently (written & verbal).
✅ Must Have Skills
• Hands-on experience with GCP Pub/Sub (mandatory).
• Strong expertise in Java & Spring Boot.
• Experience with Apache Beam & Data Flow.
• Knowledge of BigTable, BigQuery, Cloud Storage Bucket.
• Experience with event-driven & near real-time data patterns.
• Familiarity with Payments ISO standards & message types.
• Exposure to Agile development methodology.
• Bonus: Shell scripting & Python knowledge.

• Hibernate | Java | Microservices | MS SQL | Spring Boot | JUnit | JPA | GCP Fundamentals
