Java Spring Boot/ AWS Lead Developer

We have partnered with our client in their search for a Lead Software Engineer - Java, AWS & Cloud Infrastructure in Wilmington, DE Responsibilities • Skills Required • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 8+ years applied experience • Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability • Advanced in one or more programming language(s), including Java and Spring frameworks • Hands-on experience using Kafka for building and managing real-time data streaming applications, including configuring topics, producers, and consumers, and ensuring reliable message delivery • Hands-on practical experience using AWS cloud services, including designing, deploying, and managing scalable cloud infrastructure with services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, step functions and VPC • Practical experience using IaC tools (example: terraform) to build infra on AWS • Proficiency in automation at various stages of SDLC and continuous delivery methods • Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle • Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security • Demonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.) • In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems • Possesses AWS Developer or Architect Associate certification, demonstrating validated expertise in designing, developing, and deploying applications on AWS cloud platforms • Clear communication and ability to articulate complex ideas to various audiences including business, product, management, executives and tech audiences Nice to have: • Experience in front-end tools such as React, Angular, etc. • Experience with scripting tools, BDD tools for automation • Strong fundamentals in data structures and algorithms • Experience implementing high throughput, low latency software applications Title Lead Software Engineer - Java, AWS & Cloud Infrastructure Location Wilmington, DE Client Industry Fintech Compensation $65-75/ hr Ref ID About Korn Ferry Korn Ferry unleashes potential in people, teams, and organizations.
