Front-End Developer (JavaScript/TypeScript) Figma Automation & Customization (1-Month Project with additional projects planned)
We're seeking a highly skilled Front-End Developer with strong experience in JavaScript, TypeScript, and HTML for a short-term staff augmentation project with a very cool client, we promise! This role involves working closely with their design and product teams to create workflow automations and custom plugins/extensions within Figma.
Project Duration
β’ 1 month (full-time or near full-time availability)
Responsibilities
β’ Develop Figma plugins, extensions, or integrations to streamline internal design workflows
β’ Implement automations that improve design-to-development handoff
β’ Customize Figma interfaces and behaviors using the Figma Plugin API
β’ Collaborate with designers and engineers to translate workflow pain points into code-based solutions
β’ Write clean, modular JavaScript/TypeScript code for use in a browser-based environment
Required Skills
β’ Strong proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, and HTML
β’ Hands-on experience building with the Figma Plugin API
β’ Familiarity with REST APIs, browser-based tooling, and event-driven interfaces
β’ Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision
β’ Clear communication and documentation practices
Nice to Have
β’ Experience working with design systems and version-controlled Figma assets
β’ Prior contract or freelance experience delivering short-term scoped solutions
β’ Understanding of UX principles and how they intersect with dev workflows
