Job Title: JD Edwards WorldSoft Developer (OMS / AS400) Location: Atlanta, GA (Hybrid) Duration: 6 Months (Contract) Experience Required: 12+ Years Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced JD Edwards WorldSoft Developer with strong expertise in Order Management Systems (OMS) and IBM i (iSeries / AS400) environments. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience developing, supporting, and maintaining JDE WorldSoft 7.3 applications, with a deep understanding of RPG, SQL400, and AS400 programming. This role involves providing production support, performing root cause analysis, and developing permanent fixes in accordance with SLAs. The developer will also collaborate closely with business and technical teams to support enhancements, manage incidents, and ensure seamless system operations in a fast-paced enterprise setting. Key Responsibilities: • Provide production support for JD Edwards (JDE) WorldSoft applications, ensuring timely issue resolution per SLAs. • Perform root cause analysis, identify recurring problems, and implement permanent corrective actions. • Document root causes, resolutions, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and the knowledge base. • Monitor production alerts, escalate critical incidents, and ensure proactive issue resolution. • Support incident, change, and problem management in coordination with IT and business teams. • Develop and maintain SQL queries and scripts on AS400 to support reporting and troubleshooting. • Design, code, and test new programs or enhancements using RPGLE, CLLE, SQLRPGLE, and SQL400. • Create technical design documents, including flowcharts and pseudo-code, based on functional and architectural specifications. • Participate in unit testing, peer reviews, and test plan walkthroughs. • Provide accurate effort estimations and manage task completion within committed timelines. • Support scheduled daily/weekly/monthly jobs, reports, and dashboards. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver on-time, high-quality code and solutions. • Follow SDLC methodologies including Waterfall, Agile, Scrum, or Iterative as applicable. Technical Skills & Requirements: Must Have: • JD Edwards WorldSoft (7.3) – strong development and support experience. • Order Management System (OMS) module expertise. • IBM i (iSeries / AS400) platform experience. • RPGLE, CLLE, SQLRPGLE, and SQL400 programming proficiency. • Strong SQL query writing, debugging, and data analysis skills. • Hands-on experience with JDE integrations and JDE Object Management Workbench (OMW). • Familiarity with IWS (Integration Web Services) for JDE is preferred. Nice to Have: • Experience using ServiceNow (for Help Desk / Ticketing support). • Experience with Clarity PPM (Project Management / Time Reporting). • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools like JIRA or Azure DevOps. Qualifications & Experience: • 8–12+ years of experience in JD Edwards WorldSoft development and support. • Proven experience working in Order Management Systems (OMS) within JDE. • Strong understanding of SDLC processes and enterprise change management procedures. • Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills. • Ability to collaborate with onshore/offshore teams and manage multiple priorities.
