Role description
JIRA/Atlassian Specialist – Manchester
Remote working
Contract – Outside IR35 upto £625
Duration 1 Month
A leading Manchester client seeks an independent Jira Specialist to review their JSM environment, identify key gaps, and implement improvements. The role covers process standards, workflow and SLA setup, initial automation, knowledge base seeding, and a Rovo agent proof of concept for one use case.
Key skills and responsibilities,
• Extensive, practical experience administering and configuring JSM in operational support settings, including workflows, SLAs, queues, routing, and automation rules.
• Demonstrated ability to review and enhance existing JSM environments; this role is not suitable for those with only greenfield implementation backgrounds.
• Proficient in creating Atlassian automation rules to manage support tickets, covering triage, routing, and escalation.
• Capable of organizing JSM or Confluence knowledge bases to facilitate customer self-service support.
• Familiar enough with Rovo (Atlassian AI) to configure, test, and document a preliminary agent, though comprehensive deployment experience is not necessary.
• Configuring and testing initial automation rules for ticket triage, routing, and customer acknowledgements.
• Designing the knowledge base structure and populating it with at least five articles from current internal documentation.
• Setting up, testing, and documenting a proof-of-concept Rovo agent focused on a specific, agreed-upon use case.
