We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Software Engineer (Python) to join our team at Kaya Tech for a Remote long-term contract role on a W2 basis only. Compensation & Benefits: • Health benefits • 401K • Federal holidays (per client calendar) Position Details: • Role: Software Engineer - Python • Location: Remote • Type: W2 Contract Core Responsibilities: • Collaborate with the development team to design and enhance large-scale Python applications. • Develop and maintain RESTful APIs, serverless functions, and libraries using FastAPI. • Participate actively in Agile development, including sprint planning, estimation, and retrospectives. • Ensure all deliverables adhere to industry standards for code quality, performance, and security. • Support end-to-end releases, including monitoring and defect resolution. • Perform peer and team code reviews. • Manage the deployment process, focusing on continuous improvement and frequent releases. • Integrate application and data security at every stage of development. Required Qualifications: • 5+ years of experience with Python. • Experience with FastAPI or Flask frameworks. • 3+ years in application design with a strong understanding of design patterns. • 3+ years developing high-traffic, enterprise-scale applications. • 3+ years building and integrating RESTful services. • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience). • Experience with Continuous Delivery and test automation tools. • Hands-on experience with Cloud technologies (Azure preferred). • Strong communication, analytical, and collaboration skills. Desired Qualifications: • Experience with PostgreSQL, SQL Server, and NoSQL databases. • Prior work in Agile and DevOps environments.
