Joomla Developer (W2)

Job Title: Joomla Developer Experience: 4–8 Years Location: Remote Employment Type: Contract About the Role: We are seeking a skilled Joomla Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining websites and online applications using the Joomla CMS. You will work on building custom components, templates, and extensions, ensuring seamless performance, security, and scalability, while collaborating with design and content teams to deliver high-quality user experiences. Key Responsibilities: • Develop, customize, and maintain websites using Joomla CMS. • Build and enhance custom components, templates, and extensions using PHP and Joomla’s MVC framework. • Work with MySQL/MariaDB databases for content, configuration, and data management. • Implement and optimize front-end features using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. • Ensure website responsiveness, performance optimization, and security best practices. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (designers, content, and QA) to deliver engaging and accessible web solutions. • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely manner. Required Skills & Qualifications: • 4–8 years of hands-on experience with Joomla CMS. • Strong proficiency in PHP, MySQL/MariaDB, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. • Experience with Joomla’s MVC architecture and extension development. • Knowledge of website performance optimization and security standards. • Familiarity with responsive design and cross-browser compatibility. • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. • Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment. Preferred: • Experience integrating Joomla with third-party systems and APIs. • Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git). • Understanding of SEO best practices.
