Jr. Technical Business Analyst - GIS

Position Title: Jr. Technical Business Analyst - GIS Location: New York, NY (Hybrid) Clearance Requirements: None Pay Rate: $40-$49/hr W2 Position Description Our Fortune 500 client based in New York, NY is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Junior Technical Business Analyst to support enterprise GIS and digital transformation initiatives within a large utility environment. This role will work closely with business stakeholders, project managers, and technical teams to support operational improvements, enterprise mapping systems, workflow modernization, and technology implementation efforts. The ideal candidate will have strong business analysis and documentation skills combined with experience supporting technical projects, process mapping, testing coordination, and cross-functional communication. Exposure to GIS systems, enterprise repositories, or utility operations is highly preferred. Top Requirements • Bachelor’s degree completed or in progress in: • Computer Science • Information Systems • Business Analytics • Engineering • or related technical field • Strong internship, co-op, or professional experience supporting enterprise technology or utility-related projects • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills • Strong organizational, analytical, and self-management abilities • Ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines in fast-paced environments • Experience with: • Microsoft Office Suite • Excel • PowerPoint • Visio • Figma • Ability to document business requirements and translate them into technical requirements • Ability to work collaboratively across cross-functional business and technical teams Preferred Qualifications • Experience with: • Azure DevOps • SQL • Python • Oracle databases • ArcGIS • Schneider Electric ArcFM • Workflow/process mapping • QA/UAT coordination • Power BI or reporting tools • Exposure to enterprise GIS, mapping systems, or utility technology platforms • Experience supporting digital transformation, operational improvement, or enterprise modernization initiatives • Ability to interpret, modify, and execute scripts and SQL queries About Seneca Resources At Seneca Resources, we are more than just a staffing and consulting firm, we are a trusted career partner.
