We are looking for a skilled Kafka Developer to join our team on a remote contract engagement. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Apache Kafka and event-driven architectures, with experience developing scalable real-time data streaming solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and maintain Kafka-based streaming applications.
• Build producers, consumers, and Kafka Streams applications.
• Develop real-time data integration solutions using Kafka.
• Monitor and optimize Kafka cluster performance.
• Troubleshoot production issues and ensure high availability.
• Collaborate with application development and DevOps teams.
Required Qualifications:
• Strong hands-on experience with Apache Kafka.
• Experience with Java or Scala-based application development.
• Knowledge of distributed systems and event-driven architecture.
• Experience with messaging platforms and real-time data processing.
• Familiarity with REST APIs, microservices, and cloud environments.
• Strong debugging and performance tuning skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with Kafka Connect, Kafka Streams, or Confluent Platform.
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience working in Agile development environments.
