Kafka SME with Endur EXP

Role: Kafka SME with Endur EXP Location: Houston, TX(Hybrid) Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Kafka Subject Matter Expert (SME) with proven hands-on experience in managing integrations and interfaces with third-party systems. The ideal candidate will have direct experience integrating with Endur, specifically with a strong understanding of its data structures, tables, and integration patterns. This role does not require functional design or configuration expertise in Endur, but rather a deep technical understanding of how to interface with it effectively. Key Responsibilities: • Design, develop, and maintain Kafka-based integration solutions with third-party systems, including Endur. • Implement robust data pipelines and streaming solutions using Apache Kafka. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand integration requirements and deliver scalable solutions. • Work closely with Endur technical teams to understand table structures and integration patterns. • Troubleshoot and optimize Kafka performance and reliability in a production environment. • Ensure data integrity and consistency across integrated systems. • Document integration processes, data flows, and technical specifications. Required Qualifications: • Proven experience as a Kafka SME in enterprise environments. • Strong hands-on experience with Kafka producers, consumers, topics, partitions, and stream processing. • Solid understanding of Endur’s technical architecture, especially its database tables and integration mechanisms. • Experience in building and managing interfaces between Endur and external systems. • Proficiency in Java, Python, or other relevant programming languages used in Kafka implementations. • Familiarity with tools such as Kafka Connect, Schema Registry, and monitoring platforms (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana). • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications: • Experience with cloud-based Kafka deployments (e.g., Confluent Cloud, AWS MSK). • Knowledge of energy trading systems and workflows. • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
