Treliant are currently looking for a contract kdb+ Developer to join our existing and growing teams on a greenfield initiative to rearchitect an redesign internal application, replacing legacy C++/Python components with scalable, high-performance kdb+ solutions that deliver real-time insights for trading operations within a fast-paced financial environment.

Responsibilities
While the scope of each project may be different, your duties & responsibilities may include:
• Leading the re-development of a greenfield internal application, building from the ground up leveraging core kdb+ technologies aimed at enhancing specific components on the roadmap for improved performance, scalability, and resilience.
• Replacing and enhancing existing C++/Python-based systems/components on the roadmap such as building a complex event processor based on kdb-tick.
• Collaborating with internal client teams to ingest and manage large volumes of high-frequency time-series data.
• Applying performance-driven design principles to ensure the application meets the demands of real-time financial operations.
• Analysing trading data and delivering actionable insights to stakeholders.
• Taking ownership of a business-critical system and driving innovation within a fast-paced delivery environment.
• Building a nuanced understanding of trading operations in large-scale financial organisations.
Qualifications
• Strong educational background – Degree (Masters would be an advantage).
• 4+ Years of Software Development Experience.
• Good knowledge and experience within the full SDLC, including design, architecture, developing code, testing, and deployment.
• Demonstrated experience leading solutions from a consultative or customer/client driven perspective.
• Experience across a range of kdb core technologies such as – Feedhandler, Tickerplant, tick or fusion interfaces.
• Experience with large scale data capture, processing and analysis.
• Ability to write clean and efficient code, with history of clear documentation.
• Experience in other languages like C++ or Python would be highly beneficial to derive functionality from previous iterations of the software.
• Strong interpersonal skills, with good relationship building and engagement skills with stakeholders of varying levels.
