KDB Developer Location: Jersey City, NJ Type: Onsite (RTTO – 5 Days Onsite) Experience Required: 9+ Years Responsibilities • Develop core systems, frameworks, and tools using KDB+ technology. • Build scalable, real-time processing systems using agile methodologies. • Design and manage storage solutions for large cross-asset market data (equities, fixed income, FX) for both real-time and historical access. • Collaborate closely with traders, quantitative analysts, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver high-impact solutions. • Ensure operational stability, resiliency, and high performance of KDB applications. • Write high-quality production code and take part in rigorous code reviews. • Identify opportunities for automation and enhancements to improve stability and efficiency. • Enable cloud-native access to KDB data for research, analytics, and AI workloads. Qualifications & Skills • Strong expertise in KDB+ and Q with hands-on experience in building large-scale, high-performance platforms. • In-depth knowledge of KDB+tick architecture, data organization, and performance trade-offs. • Practical experience with: • Managing and querying large datasets • Optimizing KDB query performance • Building resilient, high-availability KDB applications • Solid understanding of SDLC, CI/CD, resiliency, and security best practices. • Hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and ensuring operational stability. • Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills. Preferred Skills: • AWS Cloud Experience, particularly with compute services and storage tiers (beneficial due to ongoing migration projects). • Programming experience with one or more languages: • Python (including PyKX) • Java • C / C++ • Basic to strong understanding of financial markets, especially electronic trading, market data, and order flow.
