Role description
Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Kepware Developer with hands-on experience in industrial connectivity and OPC solutions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, configuring, and maintaining Kepware (KEPServerEX) systems to enable seamless communication between industrial devices and enterprise applications. This role requires strong knowledge of industrial protocols, SCADA systems, and integration with MES/ERP platforms. Key Responsibilities • Design, configure, and deploy Kepware (KEPServerEX) solutions for industrial data connectivity. • Integrate PLCs, RTUs, and other industrial devices using protocols such as OPC UA/DA, Modbus, Ethernet/IP, and BACnet. • Develop and manage tags, channels, and device configurations in Kepware. • Troubleshoot connectivity, performance, and data communication issues. • Configure IoT Gateway, Advanced Tags, and data logging features within Kepware. • Collaborate with SCADA, MES, and IT teams for seamless system integration. • Implement data mapping and ensure data accuracy between shop floor systems and enterprise applications. • Perform system testing, validation, and documentation. • Ensure system security and compliance with industrial standards. • Provide support and maintenance for existing Kepware environments. Required Skills & Qualifications • Strong experience with Kepware KEPServerEX configuration and administration. • Knowledge of industrial communication protocols (OPC UA/DA, Modbus TCP/RTU, Ethernet/IP). • Experience with PLCs (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Schneider, etc.). • Understanding of SCADA systems (e.g., Wonderware, Ignition, FactoryTalk). • Familiarity with IoT integrations and MQTT. • Basic knowledge of databases (SQL Server, Oracle) and data handling. • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. • Good understanding of industrial automation and manufacturing processes. Preferred Skills • Experience with MES/ERP integration (SAP, Oracle). • Knowledge of scripting (Python, VBScript, or similar). • Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure IoT, AWS IoT). • Experience with cybersecurity in industrial environments.
