Knowledge Engineer

Role: Knowledge Engineer Location: HYBRID position requiring 2 in-office days at local Deloitte office per week Duration: 6+ Months Contract Description AI Knowledge Engineer with 6+ years of experience designing, organizing, and managing enterprise knowledge ecosystems that support AI-driven applications, intelligent search, and decision-support systems. Expertise in building scalable knowledge frameworks, including taxonomies, ontologies, metadata models, and semantic information architectures that improve content discoverability and retrieval accuracy. Proven experience curating, normalizing, classifying, and governing enterprise content from multiple structured and unstructured sources while ensuring data quality, lineage, freshness, and compliance standards. Skilled in developing content ingestion, enrichment, deduplication, indexing, and version-control pipelines to support Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and Large Language Model (LLM) applications. Strong understanding of knowledge graphs, semantic search, vector databases, graph databases, enterprise search platforms, and metadata management solutions. Experienced in collaborating with AI engineers, data teams, product managers, and business stakeholders to optimize search relevance, grounding quality, and AI response accuracy. Hands-on exposure to prompt engineering, LLM evaluation frameworks, semantic layer design, and enterprise information architecture. Proficient with Python, SQL, APIs, automation workflows, and knowledge management tools. Recognized for strong analytical thinking, information modeling expertise, governance leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to solve complex business challenges in large enterprise and consulting environments, particularly within wealth management and financial services domains.
