Role: Knowledge Graph Architect Duration: Contract to Hire Location: King of Prussia, PA or Jersey City, NJ or New York City, NY or Connecticut(Hybrid- 2 Days/Work from office) Role Overview We are seeking a senior Knowledge Graph Architect to lead the design, modeling, and evolution of a large-scale knowledge graph platform. This role owns graph semantics, ontology design, and modeling strategy, working closely with the Solution Architect who owns overall system architecture. Key Responsibilities: The main responsibilities of this role include: Design and own the core knowledge graph architecture Define graph data models representing complex entities and relationships Lead ontology and semantic model design in collaboration with domain experts Ensure graph structures support search, discovery, and analytics use cases Serve as the subject-matter expert for graph technologies and best practices Guide and review implementation by Knowledge Graph Developers Ensure scalability, performance, and long-term maintainability of the graph Required Skills & Experience 10+ years of experience in graph engineering, data architecture, or advanced analytics Proven experience leading knowledge graph implementations Deep hands-on experience with Neo4j Strong proficiency in Cypher and graph query optimization Strong background in graph modeling, semantics, and entity resolution Experience working closely with data ingestion and transformation pipelines Preferred Background Strong preference for experience in biotech, pharma, life sciences, or research-driven environments Familiarity with biological, disease, clinical, or scientific data models Advanced academic or research-oriented background preferred Why join Sonata Software?
