Employment Type: Contract

Pay Range: $64.60/hr. on W2 | $77.49/hr. on C2C
Domain: Cybersecurity / Threat & Vulnerability Management (TVM)

SKILLS REQUIRED
Primary (Must-Have):
✔️8–10 years of professional experience in API security, vulnerability management, or data engineering.
✔️Hands-on proficiency with API security tooling (e.g., Akamai or comparable platforms).
✔️Advanced programming skills in Python and JavaScript for automation and data manipulation.
✔️Proven expertise in managing the full end-to-end lifecycle of API vulnerabilities.
✔️Strong data curation skills, with the ability to translate technical findings into actionable risk metrics and dashboards.
Secondary (Good to Have):
✔️Experience facilitating cross-functional remediation efforts with diverse Lines of Business (LOBs).
✔️Expertise in identifying vulnerability trends and utilizing data to drive enterprise security strategy.
✔️Strong understanding of CI/CD pipeline integration and security infrastructure.
POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking a highly skilled Lead API Vulnerability Data Engineer to join our Threat & Vulnerability Management (TVM) team. In this strategic, hybrid role, you will lead the end-to-end lifecycle management of API vulnerabilities, serving as the primary bridge between technical discovery and operational remediation. You will leverage data engineering expertise to curate security data, develop critical metrics, and automate tracking processes to mature our enterprise API security posture.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
✔️API Vulnerability Lifecycle Management: Lead the end-to-end management of API vulnerabilities from initial discovery through remediation and validation.
✔️Strategic LOB Coordination: Partner with various Lines of Business (LOBs) to define and execute remediation strategies, ensuring consistent adherence to security standards.
✔️Data Engineering & Analytics: Curate complex vulnerability data to build enterprise-grade reports, dashboards, and automated tracking mechanisms.
✔️Tooling Implementation: Deploy and maintain API security solutions, such as Akamai, ensuring robust integration with existing security infrastructure.
✔️Trend Analysis: Perform deep-dive analysis on vulnerability data to identify emerging threats, reporting actionable insights to stakeholders to drive risk reduction.
