Responsibilities
Kforce has a client in New York, NY that is looking for a Lead Business Analyst for Merchandising and Planning. This BA will lead integration, upgrades, and integration for TMS and finance systems. Duties/Day to Day Overview:
β’ Acting as a liaison between business stakeholders and IT leadership, translating high-level business strategy into actionable technical solutions
β’ Championing change management initiatives, ensuring user adoption and engagement with new systems or processes
β’ Build and maintain strong partnerships with cross-functional teams, including IT, merchandising, support, and other stakeholders.
β’ Ownership of functional area; responsible for managing and optimizing the product backlog for merchandising or planning systems
β’ Supporting existing production systems
β’ Defining and prioritizing system problems and enhancement requests; analyzing to identify and address root causes
Leading efforts in the support of existing systems, processes, services and/or in the execution of new projects, ensuring that:
β’ Use cases and requirements are accurately captured
β’ Work with vendors to create wireframes and review with the business to ensure solution fits our needs
β’ Detailed functional designs are created and handed off to Development Team
β’ Test and training plans are designed and executed successfully
β’ Communication to project managers and leadership is accurate/detailed and projects are completed on time and under budget
Taking a leadership role in exploring and analyzing new processes, services, and application functions and technologies to:
β’ Gather detailed business requirements by facilitating workshops, interviews, and stakeholder meetings and translating them into effective solutions
β’ Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, ensuring mutual understanding across departments
Requirements
β’ Undergraduate degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline or equivalent work experience
β’ Light project management
β’ At least 3 -5 years of experience supporting IT systems, processes, or capabilities; Solid understanding of IT processes and dynamics within a complex, highly integrated environment
β’ Experience with Agile (Scrum and SAFe Framework) and Waterfall approaches preferred
β’ Experience with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Azure DevOps, Visio, Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent
β’ A solid understanding of industry best practices in retail or IT; Specific demonstrated experience mapping business processes and comparing those processes to industry best practices
β’ Understanding of application development and software development lifecycle concepts
β’ Familiarity with ERP or merchandising systems (e.g., Oracle Retail, SAP, Blue Yonder) and integration with planning and forecasting tools
β’ Strong problem solving, and root cause analysis skills
β’ Use Case and User Story Development
β’ Ability to work with business to understand processes and document requirements
β’ Experience working with Wireframing tools preferred
β’ Experience working with engineers and developers preferred
β’ Understanding of Import Logistics and Tariff law a plus
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
